Food slicers are very helpful kitchenware.
And I believe that you won’t argue with that, right?
But the question is, how much should you spend on a good one? How do you know that you’ve paid the right price for the right type of food slicer?
That’s what we will discuss in this post.
First, you need to understand that there are a lot of food slicer types out there to choose from.
For example, if cabbage is your loved dishes, then you can bring home a cabbage slicer for that. Likewise, if your family loves cheese, then a good wire cheese slicer would be a no-brainer.
And those simple slicers won’t cost you much. You can expect to pay around $100 max for a decent one.
Another type of slicer is a fruit slicer.
And you can expect to pay even less for this as it’s a really simple one. For example, if you love avocado, then I highly recommend you buy a specialized avocado slicer. It will make pitting and slicing avocados a lot easier.
The same is true if sweet potatoes are your desired dishes. A sweet potato mandoline slicer would be a good choice. For this type of tool, it would be $50 max for a good one.
And finally, if you really want to bring home only the best and most expensive, like $300 at least, then a meat slicer would be a good choice.
I will admit that with this type of tool, you wouldn’t use it much unless you really love cooking with frozen meat.
But that would be super helpful if you have to prepare special dinners for guests from time to time.
